One of the NCAFAE programs she found the most rewarding was getting the schools involved in the three counties of Van Buren, Cleburne, Stone, and surrounding areas. Most of Charlotte's life has been involved with the arts and she has enjoyed being a part of the organizations growth.
Charlotte's love and promotion of the Arts in the area were recognized by the Arkansas Arts Council when she received the Arkansas Art Councils Governor's Art Award in Community Development of the Arts. She grew up in Central Arkansas and a BSE Graduate of the University of Central Arkansas majoring in Art.

Her paintings have been selected to be in the permanent collection of the Historical Arkansas Museum, University of Central Arkansas, Clinton Presidential Library, Arkansas Art Council's Small Works on Paper and Ozark Medical Health Center.
